Regulatory Watch/Overview

What is Regulatory Watch?

Stay ahead of legal changes with AI-curated regulatory news and alerts.

Regulatory Watch is the Lawis module that keeps you informed about legal and regulatory changes in real time. Instead of manually monitoring dozens of government websites, journals, and legal publications, Lawis aggregates and summarizes regulatory news from over 200 sources every day.

What it monitors

Regulatory Watch tracks legal developments across the GCC and North Africa, including:

  • New legislation and amendments published in official gazettes
  • Ministerial decisions and executive orders
  • Regulatory authority updates (central banks, financial regulators, labor authorities)
  • Court decisions setting new legal precedents
  • Draft laws and consultation papers
  • International treaties and agreements affecting GCC jurisdictions

How it works

Each day, Lawis automatically:

  • Collects articles and publications from monitored sources
  • Uses AI to generate concise, plain-language summaries of each article
  • Tags articles by legal category and jurisdiction
  • Personalizes your feed based on your preferences (categories, countries, language)

How to access it

From the left navigation bar, click the Legal News icon or navigate to /legal-news. The main screen shows your personalized news feed, organized by recency and relevance.

Personalized and filterable

Regulatory Watch is designed to show you what's relevant to your practice area. You control the feed by:

  • Category filters — Select which legal topics appear in your feed (Labor Law, Tax, Commercial Law, etc.)
  • Country filters — Focus on specific jurisdictions
  • Preferences — Set your default categories, countries, and digest frequency in the preferences screen
Tip

Setting up your preferences is the best first step — it takes two minutes and ensures your feed only shows you what matters for your practice.
